HISTORY
Yager Consultants, Inc. is a professional corporation dedicated
to the specialized practice of Airport Engineering, Planning, and Consulting
Services. We have been in business since 1980, serving Airport Clients
on projects large and small - nearly 300 in total.
SERVICES
Projects performed by Yager cover the full spectrum of airport consulting
services including:
- site selection studies and environmental assessments for
new airports
- airport master plans, airport layout plans, apron and land utilization
studies
- land acquisition assistance
- new terminal area access and development
- runway shift, extension, widening, rehabilitation, reconstruction,
overlay, safety area upgrade
- new taxiways, taxiway rehabilitation, reconstruction and overlays
new aprons, apron rehabilitation, reconstruction and overlays
- airfield lighting, signage and NAVAIDS including PAPI, REIL, TVOR,
LOC/DME
- storm drainage improvements
- obstruction identification and removal - trees, terrain, buildings,
obstruction lighting
- install AWOS
- fuel farm installation and removal
- new access road, road relocation
- site development for new hangars
- pavement condition and management studies
Yager Consultants also serves as general airport consultant to many
of our general aviation airport clients, attending their meetings on a
regular basis and responding to their needs and issues daily - recommending
solutions to all manner of airport development and operational issues.
Our services also include preparing and updating Airport Layout Plans (ALP),
5-Year Airport Capital Improvement Programs (ACIP) and the full range of
grant administration services.
MANAGEMENT
Donald R. Yager, P.E., President, directly oversees every project
of the firm. Mr. Yager has specialized in Airport Planning and Design
since 1974, and has directed more than three hundred (300) airport planning
and design projects. He personally coordinates every project with
the client and maintains continuous personal contact with all clients.
ACCOMPLISHMENTS
One of Mr. Yager's more notable accomplishments has been the development
of a computer program to assist in the rehab and/or reconstruction of runways.
Two projects designed with this program have won annual awards from Flexible
Pavements, Inc. for Airport Pavement Riding Quality, and a third Yager
project was runner-up to one of the award winners.
